Planning to attend STEM Talent 2010: A Symposium and Career Fair for Postdocs? Want help marketing yourself to potential employers? Looking to create a winning resume? Join us for this two-part afternoon event intended to help you better prepare for your job search.
In the first half of the event, Brianna Blaser, Ph.D., from Science Careers will talk about Networking and Career Fairs. She'll cover the basics of good networking and how to employ those tactics in a career fair setting. Using the techniques you learn will help to prepare you for the July 22 career fair.
In the second half of the event, Lori Conlan, Ph.D., from NIH will talk about CVs, resumes, and job searching. She will cover differences between resumes and CVs, when to use each, and how to write and edit these documents to attract employers more effectively. She'll also talk about strategies that can help you locate job opportunities.
