General Course Outlines

1- Biochemistry I: General Biochemistry : (SVT1 students)
Begins with a look at the basic structure and function of biological molecules, we presents the physical properties of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, nucleic acids and lipids, which are related to the major metabolic pathways to illustrate principles of biochemical regulation. Emphasis is placed on enzyme mechanisms and compartmentalization of molecules and cofactors as key elements in regulation.
2- Biochemistry II: Metabolic pathways (SVT2 students)
This course aims to provide an intermediate level of knowledge and understanding of principles and processes of metabolism. Such us: Chemical reactions - Biochemical logic. Biochemistry of some vitamin and coenzyme catalysed reactions. Glycogen synthesis and degradation. Pentose phosphate pathway. Gluconeogenesis. Amino acid metabolism and urea cycle. Fatty acid synthesis and breakdown. Prostaglandin and steroid biosynthesis. Purine, pyrimidine and deoxyribonucleotide synthesis. Control and regulation of metabolism pathways.
3-Mechanism of enzyme action : Enzymology (SVT3 students)
All aspects of the biochemistry of enzymes will be covered, including their biosynthesis as far as is known, the biochemical reactions they catalyze, their chemical and spectroscopic properties, and the mechanisms by which they facilitate biochemical reactions.
4- Biochemical Analysis Techniques: (SV3 students)
Biochemistry is an experimental science, and this course aims to introduce students to the techniques of Biochemistry, so that they can begin to understand how biochemical information is obtained in the laboratory.
This course emphasizes the basic techniques used in biochemical research with an emphasis on proteins and enzymes. Techniques of protein structure determination by X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy, spectrometry, chromatography (HPLC, gel filtration…..), electrophoresis, amino acid analysis, coupled assays, and the isolation and characterization of enzymes.
5- Macromolecular Function: (SV3 students)
This course presents a series of advanced case studies designed to familiarize students with current protein research and to expand on the protein fundamentals taught in Biochemistry ; Such us : post-translational modification of proteins; protein-protein interactions; principles of enzyme catalysis; natural inhibitors of enzyme action; integral membrane proteins and ion channels; molecular motors; allosteric phenomena; conversion of light energy in photosynthesis.
6- Nucleic Acid Structure and Function (Master students)
This course focused on the biochemistry of nucleic acids. Topics include nucleic acid structure and chemistry, protein-nucleic acid interactions, and the enzymology of key processes such as DNA repair and recombination, RNA splicing, and protein synthesis. A special emphasis is placed on primary literature and experimental design
7-Fundamentals in Molecular Biology: (SV4 students)
Nucleic acid structure and DNA technology, DNA replication, DNA damage, muta-genesis and repair, Transposons and site-specific recombination, prokaryotic and eukaryotic transcription and its regulation, RNA structure, splicing and catalytic RNAs and protein synthesis.

je trouve une difficulté à comprendre le role des differents solvents telque ClCH3, hexane, pentane, acetone... dans l'extraction séquentielle des acides gras du sols.
je cherche partout dans l'internet, je trouve les démarches mais pas les équations de réaction.
si vous pouvez m'aidez et m'envoyer un cours qui parle de ça, je vous serais très reconnaissante.
