Hitch your wagon to a star

Birds and glory a poem by M.T. Al-Mansouri, Ph.D.

Darling, how I love you !
In the morning, noon and night.
When the trees, flowers and stars become a witness of our love.
And the birds sing merrily in  the fields of glory.
Creatures pray to God in the  mountain tops , plains and valleys and fluttering around us.
There in the peaks, in the mountain peaks in honey bees  are seen anchoring our love.
Jerusalem is our glory, our goal and our choice.

a lovely poem with an number of themes such as love, passion, time and life, beauty and inspiration, romanticism and worship, spirituality, nationalism and belonging. It also includes/presents a variety of images and poetic symbols such as noon and night, trees and flowers, birds, mountains and plains and valleys, honey bees.... and Jerusalem. All of which bear logical suggestions and reflections and meanings of the intended ideas and matters that are by nature human and elevated, among other things...... Great poem and reflections and feelings. I enjoyed reading and chanting it.
