TORONTO — Canada thinks it can teach the world a thing or two about dodging financial meltdowns.

The 20 world leaders at an economic summit in Toronto next weekend will find themselves in a country that has avoided a banking crisis where others have floundered, and whose economy grew at a 6.1 percent annual rate in the first three months of this year. The housing market is hot and three-quarters of the 400,000 jobs lost during the recession have been recovered.

animated_crown.gif

World leaders have noticed: President Barack Obama says the U.S. should take note of Canada's banking system, and Britain's Treasury chief is looking to emulate the Ottawa way on cutting deficits.

The land of a thousand stereotypes — from Mounties and ice hockey to language wars and lousy weather — is feeling entitled to do a bit of crowing as it hosts the G-20 summit of wealthy and developing nations.

"We should be proud of the performance of our financial system during the crisis," said Finance Minister Jim Flaherty in an interview with The Associated Press.

Semitic illegal drug calls Khat spreads in North America and Europe animated_crown.gif

He recalled visiting China in 2007 and hearing suggestions "that the Canadian banks were perhaps boring and too risk-adverse. And when I was there two weeks ago some of my same counterparts were saying to me, 'You have a very solid, stable banking system in Canada,' and emphasizing that. There wasn't anything about being sufficiently risk-oriented."

The banks are stable because, in part, they're more regulated. As the U.S. and Europe loosened regulations on their financial industries over the last 15 years, Canada refused to do so. The banks also aren't as leveraged as their U.S. or European peers.

animated_crown.gif

There was no mortgage meltdown or subprime crisis in Canada. Banks don't package mortgages and sell them to the private market, so they need to be sure their borrowers can pay back the loans.

In Canada's concentrated banking system, five major banks dominate the market and regulators know each of the top bank executives personally.

animated_crown.gif

"Our banks were just better managed and we had better regulation," says former Prime Minister Paul Martin, the man credited with killing off a massive government deficit in the 1990s when he was finance minister, leading to 12 straight years of budget surpluses.

animated_crown.gif

"I was absolutely amazed at senior bankers in the United States and Europe who didn't know the extent of the problem or they didn't know that people in some far-flung division were doing these kinds of things. It's just beyond belief," he told the AP.

animated_crown.gif

The Conservative Party government of Stephen Harper that took over from Martin's Liberals in 2006 broadly stuck to his predecessor's approach, though he cut taxes and, when recession struck, pumped stimulus money into the economy, with the result that Canada again has a large deficit.

animated_crown.gif

But it is recovering from the recession faster than others, and although its deficit is currently at a record high, the International Monetary Fund expects Canada to be the only one of the seven major industrialized democracies to return to surplus by 2015.

animated_crown.gif

This month Canada became the first among them to raise interest rates since the global financial crisis began.

George Osborne, Britain's Treasury chief, has vowed to follow Canada's example on deficit reduction.

"They brought together the best brains both inside and outside government to carry out a fundamental reassessment of the role of the state," Osborne said in a speech.

animated_crown.gif

It's a remarkable turnaround from 1993, when the Liberals took office facing a $30 billion deficit. Moody's downgraded Canada's credit rating twice. About 36 percent of the government's revenue went toward servicing debt.

animated_crown.gif

"Our situation was dire. Canada was in a lot of trouble at that point," Martin said. "If we were going to preserve our health care and our education system we had to do it."

animated_crown.gif

As finance minister, he slashed spending. A weak currency and a booming U.S. economy also helped Martin balance the books. In the 1998 budget the government estimated that about 55 percent of the deficit reduction came from economic growth and 35 percent from spending cuts.

animated_crown.gif

"The rest of the world certainly thinks we're the model to follow," said Martin, who was prime minister from 2003 to 2006. "I've been asked by a lot of countries as to how to go about it."

animated_crown.gif

Don Drummond, Martin's budget chief at the time, says the U.S. and Europe won't have it that easy, because the economic climate was better in the late 1990s than it is now, with large trade gains and falling interest rates.

"There's a lot to learn from Canada but their starting conditions are worse," he said. "Even though we were on the precipice of a crisis we weren't in as bad a shape as many of them are."

Today at Queen's Park, I announced that as Premier, I will repeal Dalton McGuinty's latest tax grab - the eco-tax - which has been slapped on over 10,000 household items.
You may not have heard about this latest assault on your wallet because while you were enjoying Canada Day festivities with friends and family, Dalton McGuinty used that opportunity to sneak in his punishing eco-tax.
The so-called eco-fees are a new tax on over 10,000 household products, including prescription medications, bath toys, sunblock, laundry detergent – even smoke alarms!
Dalton McGuinty and Stewardship Ontario, the secretive government agency that will levy and collect this new tax, gave Ontario families no warning about it beforehand. Worse, we’ve learned that Stewardship Ontario has instructed retailers to hide the tax in the product price so that “the consumer is none the wiser.”
Sneaky new taxes. No accountability. All on the heels of the HST.
No wonder Ontario families are outraged.
Everyone agrees that we must take action to protect our environment. But the new eco-tax has absolutely nothing to do with the environment. It's just another shameless McGuinty tax grab, pure and simple.
Eight years ago, Dalton McGuinty went on TV and promised that he wouldn’t raise our taxes. Yet within months, he slapped us with the Health Tax - the biggest tax hike in Ontario’s history.
And he didn’t stop there.
He has increased the price of electricity. Of water. Of dispensing fees for everyday prescription drugs. And let’s not forget his HST, which has increased the price of everything from gasoline to funerals.
Although they may make sense to Dalton McGuinty, these tax hikes will take billions out of the pockets of families already struggling through the worst job market in decades.

The Ottawa’s Multicultural Integrated Security System is helping the diplomatic line of Yemen to hide the crimes of the planners. They are anger of the human rights activists as well as the Interpol.

Arab Communities, Resturants, Restaurants and the Religious Establishments are examples.

That is just plain wrong.
To fight the eco-tax, we need your help. Your special donation of $25 – or whatever you can afford – will help us tell Ontarians about this tax and put pressure on Dalton McGuinty to scrap it. And, it will help the PC Party of Ontario prepare to defeat Dalton McGuinty in the next election.
Can you help us today? You can click here or click on the button above to "scrap McGuinty".
With your support, we can stop this McGuinty tax grab.
Thank you,

Tim Hudak, MPP

Leader, Ontario PC Party
P.S. With your special support of $25 today we can send the Liberals a message they can't ignore. Only the Ontario PC Party will stop McGuinty's massive tax grabs and get Ontario back on track.

Queen Elizabeth departs Canada

CBC NEWS: July 6, 2010: Queen Elizabeth has left Canada after a nine-day tour that began in Halifax and included visits to Ottawa, Winnipeg, Toronto and Waterloo, Ont.

Queen Elizabeth departed from Canada on Tuesday afternoon, after a nine-day tour that began in Halifax and included visits to Ottawa, Winnipeg, Toronto and Waterloo, Ont.

The Queen, with her husband, Prince Philip, flew from Toronto Pearson International Airport just after 1 p.m. ET, as Gov. Gen. Michaëlle Jean, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other dignitaries looked on.

The royal couple shook hands with Jean and Harper before climbing the stairs to the waiting Canadian Forces plane, then turned around and waved a final time before boarding.

The royal couple is flying to New York City, where the Queen will address the United Nations and meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.

The head of state of the United Kingdom, Canada and 14 other UN member countries, the Queen has addressed the 192-member General Assembly only once, in 1957.

She is also scheduled to view Ground Zero and visit a park honouring British citizens killed during the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

On Tuesday morning, several thousand people waited in sweltering heat outside Ontario's legislature at Queen's Park in Toronto to bid farewell to the Queen.

The Queen and Prince Philip took part in a number of events there, culminating in an official departure ceremony that included a 21-gun salute on the front lawn.

The Queen unveiled a plaque commemorating the 150th anniversary of the dedication of Queen's Park by her great-grandfather, before he was crowned King Edward VII.

She greeted Jean, who had just returned from a trip to China, and Harper. Toronto Mayor David Miller and David Onley, Ontario's lieutenant-governor, were also on hand for the departure ceremony.

Crowds of eager onlookers cheered as the 84-year-old monarch toured the grounds and waved at the public.

On Monday, the Queen seemed unfazed by a massive power outage that rippled across Toronto.

Staff at the Royal York Hotel scrambled to light candles and install makeshift lamps - but before the state dinner, the power returned and the occasion went ahead as planned.

The Queen lauded Canadian values of freedom and fairness in a speech Monday night that also noted Canadian sacrifices in Afghanistan.

"In my lifetime, Canada's development as a nation has been remarkable," she said.

"This vast, rich and varied country has inspired its own and attracted many others by its adherence to certain values. Some are enshrined in law, but I should imagine just as many are simply found in the hearts of ordinary Canadians."

Harper presented the Queen with a display to be housed in the Hockey Hall of Fame, which includes pictures of the monarch attending a hockey game in Toronto in 1951 and dropping the puck in 2002 at a game in Vancouver.

The display includes a Canadian Olympic hockey jersey for the Queen, whom Harper called "Canada's most valuable player."

Last Updated: Friday, June 18, 2010 / 1:38 PM E: Sunday is the day fathers around the world are celebrated, gifted with neckties and cologne and given a day free from lawn mowing and garage cleaning.

The first celebration of a fatherhood day was 100 years ago, and it was intended to change the perception of men in U.S. society.

Father's Day was started a century ago because inventor Sonora Smart Dodd was upset by widespread mocking of fathers in popular culture as lazy, sleazy and drunk.

While today's fathers have come a long way, some would say they could once again use an image boost thanks to the much-mocked antics of the likes of Tiger Woods and Jon Gosselin.

It's easy to take shots at dads who mess up, but it's important to focus on the important role of men, said Michael Gurian, an author who specializes in the struggles of men in the modern world.

"Making fun of guys to get them to perform and prove themselves, that's always going to exist," Gurian said. "But we have to equally celebrate them and empower them."

For Dodd, the last straw was a church sermon in 1908, when her priest rambled on about the newly created Mother's Day and the importance of mothers.

"I liked everything you said about motherhood," Dodd recalled telling the priest in a 1972 interview. "However, don't you think fathers deserve a place in the sun, too?"

Her father, William Smart, survived the Civil War and then moved west to seek his fortune. His wife died in the winter of 1898, while giving birth to their sixth child.

But Smart, with the help of Dodd, the eldest child and only girl, held the family together. Dodd became convinced of the importance of fathers, at a time when they were not considered that relevant to the family.

"Without fathers you would have no civilization," Gurian said.

He acknowledged that men tend to take more risks, fool around more and suffer more crippling addictions than women. They also seem slower to mature these days, often living at home into their 20s.

"Father's Day is hopefully a time when the culture says, 'This is our moment to look at who our men and boys are,' " he said. "If we don't protect fathering, we are going to really be messed up."

Dodd certainly did her part. She pushed for the first Father's Day celebration, which was held in June 1910 in Spokane, Wash.

Fathers in church were given red roses, and people whose fathers were deceased wore white roses.

Some also credit the invention of the holiday to Grace Golden Clayton of Fairmount, W.Va., who is said to have suggested to the pastor of her church in 1908 that he hold a service in honour of fathers.

The campaign for a national holiday

But it was Dodd who campaigned nationally for the holiday.

Mother's Day was quickly accepted as a national holiday, with U.S. Congress in 1914 designating the second Sunday in May. Father's Day had a much longer road, perhaps reflecting the societal split involving mothers and fathers. It was not until 1966 that president Lyndon B. Johnson issued the first presidential proclamation honouring fathers and set the third Sunday in June as Father's Day.

In 1972, president Richard Nixon signed the law that made it permanent, to the delight of necktie and golf club makers everywhere.

Dodd died in 1978 at age 96 and is buried in Spokane.

"She was a businesswoman and knew how to get things done," said Barbara Hillerman, Sonora Dodd's only grandchild. "I sent my grandmother a Father's Day card every year."

(CNN) -- A suspected Russian spy is missing after being arrested in Cyprus and released on bail, a police spokesman told CNN on Wednesday.

Authorities arrested Robert Christopher Metsos, 55, in Larnaca after an Interpol "red notice" was served on him, Cypriot police said Tuesday.

Police said he was released on bail pending further proceedings but was told not to leave the country and was ordered to check in nightly with police. He did not check in Wednesday, and police are searching for him, a spokesman said.

Metsos is among 11 suspects in an alleged Russian spy ring in the United States.

At the time of his arrest, he was traveling on a Canadian passport and was about to board a flight to Budapest, Hungary. Metsos faces extradition to the United States.

His disappearance came two days after the U.S. Justice Department announced the arrest of 10 people on charges of being Russian agents involved in a long-term mission in the United States.

Five of the suspects appeared in a New York courtroom Monday. Four of the five, including a longtime U.S.-based columnist for the Spanish-language El Diario newspaper, were advised of their rights and ordered held because of flight risk, with their next hearing scheduled for Thursday.

The other defendant, identified in a court document as Anna Chapman, was denied bail. No additional hearings have been scheduled.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the suspects committed no actions directed against American interests and that the arrests are "unfounded and have unseemly goals."

"We do not understand the reasons why the U.S. Department of Justice has made a public statement in the spirit of the Cold War," said a statement on the ministry's website. "Such incidents have occurred in the past, when our relations were on the rise. In any case it is regrettable that all these things are happening on the background of the 'reset' in Russian-U.S. relations announced by the U.S. administration."

Russia's prime minister, Vladimir Putin, said American police were "out of hand" but expressed the hope that relations would not be harmed. "I hope the positive developments that have been accumulated recently will not be damaged," Putin said.

On Wednesday, Assistant Secretary of State P.J. Crowley said the State Department had no plans to expel any Russian diplomats over the matter. "I'm not projecting any diplomatic consequences other than the goodwill that we hope will be there going forward to continue to focus on the issues where we agree and work constructively on the areas on which we disagree," Crowley said, adding that officials throughout the State Department had been in touch with various levels of the Russian government to discuss the issue.

"As we've made clear -- and as I think officials in Moscow have made clear -- we are going to work as hard as we can to move beyond this and continue to focus on the many issues with which we have common interest," Crowley said. "Our focus is on the process going forward."

The Justice Department said the suspects were supposed to have recruited intelligence agents but were not directly involved in obtaining U.S. secrets themselves. They were charged with acting as agents of a foreign government, and nine also were charged with conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The charges include conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government without notifying the U.S. attorney general, a crime that carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, the Justice Department said. Conspiracy to commit money laundering has a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

The case resulted from a multiyear investigation conducted by the FBI, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the Justice Department's National Security Division, according to a Justice Department statement. The 11 suspects were charged in two separate criminal complaints.

CNN's Terry Frieden, Jill Dougherty, Michael Schwartz, Arkady Irshenko, Elise Labott and Carol Jordan contributed to this report.

The moncitizenship is the new Canadian governmental task. The diplomatic lines of Republics of Yemen and Poland are non grata with their masks.

Max does not have long to live. He wants to spend his last few days far away from his every day routine . When he winds up on the farm of the headstrong pig breeder Emma after an accident, he learns that real happiness is closer than he thought.
"Emmas Glück" is a cinema fairytale, familiar, spellbinding, gruesome. And how does it end, this film version of Claudia Schreiber's bestselling what-a-way-to-go novel? With a jab. And it goes straight to the viewer's heart." (Stuttgarter Zeitung)

After getting the bad news that he is soon to die of cancer, Max wants to escape to the most beautiful place in the world – Mexico. When he accidentally lands at Emma’s pig farm, he realizes that true happiness waits just around the corner ...

Emma is a pig-breeder at a shabby and indebted farm. She slaughters the pigs in her own way: she treats them lovingly till the last day; the lethal cut shows something like tenderness and in Emma’s strong arms the dying animals cease bleeding, calmly and submittingly. But Emma is lonely. The missing man in her life is replaced by her motor-bike. But the loneliness stays. Until one night when a Jaguar crashes on her farm. Inside the wrecked car lies an unconscious man and a bag full of money. Emma’s luck seems to be perfect: fate has thrown money – and a man, Max – into her lap. Suspecting that he has stolen the money, Emma hides the man in her bed and the money under her bed. But soon Hans, Max’s best friend and employer, turns up and wants his money back.

In an attempt to reconciliate, Hans brings Max to a nearby hospital. Emma overcomes her shyness and finally brings him back home to the farm. Their last days together are sweetened by happiness, but Max’s days are numbered. Finally, he takes an example from the pigs and surrenders to Emma’s tender nature.

Queen tours Ottawa

The Queen accepted dozens of bouquets from children and adults in a crowd waiting to see her Wednesday in Ottawa. (Sharon Musgrave/CBC)

The Queen thrilled children and adults alike in Ottawa Wednesday by accepting dozens of bouquets offered by a crowd of thousands lining the route of her tour through the capital.

The plane carrying the Queen and Prince Philip arrived at Ottawa's Macdonald-Cartier International Airport at noon ET after a morning in Halifax. As they stepped off the plane, they were greeted by several local politicians.

Also waiting on the tarmac was 12-year-old Madison Trudeau, who handed the Queen a bouquet of coral-coloured roses and received a royal handshake of thanks.

From there, the royal couple headed to the Canadian Museum of Nature, which was closed to the public for the Queen's visit.

Inside the museum, the Queen toured the exhibits, heard a children's choir perform and unveiled a plaque dedicating The Queen's Lantern, a large glass addition to the museum replacing its original tower.

At the National Arts Centre, the Queen unveiled a sculpture of celebrated jazz pianist Oscar Peterson. (CBC)

Outside, the Queen accepted other bouquets from crowds of people lined up on either side of the museum's entrance and cheering as they leaned over the barriers. Many had heavy cameras hung around their necks. Some waved Canadian or Union Jack flags and sang God Save the Queen.

The royal couple then headed to the National Arts Centre to unveil a life-sized statue of the late jazz great Oscar Peterson created by Canadian sculptor Ruth Abernathy. Thousands of people were lined up outside the arts centre and along Elgin Street, waiting for her, and one side of the street had to be closed altogether.

Street disruptions during Queen's visit

Mackenzie King Bridge (westbound) closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

No parking on Metcalfe Street between McLeod Street and Slater Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Later in the afternoon, the Queen will plant a tree at Rideau Hall and meet with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. She will also attend a garden party that is by invitation only.

This is the Queen's 22nd visit to Canada. The royal couple will also visit Winnipeg, Waterloo, Ont., and Toronto before the tour ends July 6.

In Halifax Tuesday, the Queen reviewed an international fleet as part of the festivities marking the Canadian navy's centennial.

The royal couple planted a tree in the garden outside Government House in Halifax Wednesday morning before boarding the flight for Ottawa.

HALIFAX - The waters around downtown Halifax looked like a scene from the city's wartime past on Tuesday as the Queen reviewed a flotilla of destroyers, frigates and an aircraft carrier from around the world.

Day Two of the Queen's nine-day visit to Canada had a naval theme as the fleet review gave civilians and sailors alike a chance to witness an event that's rarely seen in Canadian waters.

The review included 28 international coast guard vessels and warships — including the British aircraft carrier Ark Royal, the USS Wasp, an imposing American assault ship, and the submarine HMCS Corner Brook.

The review was part of the Canadian navy's 100th anniversary celebrations.

Before the fleet inspection, the Queen — who wore a blue straw hat wrapped in a band of white ribbon, and a white silk coat with blue bows on the sleeves and pockets over a white dress — attended an official luncheon at Canadian Forces Base Halifax. The Queen also wore a white bow-shaped brooch, set in blue sapphires and diamonds, that belonged to the Queen Mother.

Outside, sailors in their dress white uniforms and children with flowers waited for the 84-year-old Queen Elizabeth's arrival.

Shelley Lively, who works at the base, held a small Canadian flag outside Juno Tower, where the luncheon was held.

"It might be the last chance I get to see her during my career so I'm very proud to be here," she said.

Linda Moore said she couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the Queen.

"It's an honour and a privilege to see her. This is the first time that I've seen her so close and I'm really excited about that," she said. "I'm also proud to be part of the navy and to be part of the 100 years of the centennial."

The Queen also unveiled a newly minted $1 coin with a Halifax-class frigate on it.

The fleet review is one of the highlights of the Queen's 22nd visit to Canada.

The Wasp and Ark Royal flew Canadian flags that were hoisted over the Peace Tower on Victoria Day.

The first of two 21-gun salutes was fired by HMCS Charlottetown as the Queen passed on board the frigate HMCS St. John's, accompanied by Prince Philip and Prime Minister Stephen Harper, among other dignitaries. Philip wore a Canadian navy uniform for the fleet review.

Canada's aerobatic team, the Snowbirds, was scheduled to be part of a multination flypast that was to include vintage aircraft and Hornet fighter jets. But poor visibility on a misty day in Halifax caused the flypast to be cancelled.

Semitic illegal drug calls Khat spreads in North

America and Europe

Brazil, Denmark, the Netherlands and France also sent vessels to participate in the review, which followed an international exercise off the eastern seaboard.

The Queen rose from her seat as she passed each ship. Crew on the anchored warships and coast guard vessels gave three cheers and waved their caps as her frigate sailed past.

Fleet reviews were originally done as a show of military strength.

Princess Margaret conducted the first fleet review in Canada in July 1958 to mark British Columbia's centenary, and 11 months later the Queen reviewed Canadian and American warships near Montreal at the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Queen Elizabeth reviewed 30 ships and submarines of the Royal Canadian Navy in Halifax harbour later in 1959.

The Defence Department says a fleet review was held on the east and west coasts in 1985 to mark the navy's 75th year.

After the review, the Queen unveiled a plaque to mark the importance of HMCS Sackville, the last of 120 Royal Canadian Navy corvettes that served during the Second World War. It now serves as a floating museum and as Canada’s National Naval Memorial.

The small ship, built in Saint John, N.B., played a key role in protecting convoys during the Battle of the Atlantic, one of the longest campaigns of the war.

The ship saw its share of combat as it escorted merchant ships from St. John’s, N.L., to Ireland.

9270257453?profile=original

9270273894?profile=original

The plan 99 Reading series presents Sandra Ridley launching Fallout, her first full-length collection, and Jennifer Londry, launching After the Words, a collection about the mystical journey of Alzhemer’s disease. 5 p.m.

Fall Out

by Sandara Ridley

Fallout embraces the darkness of the 20th century in poems that inhabit both the fear and wonder of that time. On the surface Fallout appears to be about the legacy of the nuclear age yet Ridley writes with a subversive humour that counters the fierceness of her subject. In her world madness intrudes upon the mundane as a Nevada casino shakes during a "test", a white train rumbles through the night transporting nuclear weapons and a couple takes up residence in a vacant nuclear weapons silo.

Ridley's poems veer from the terrifying to the tender, the comic and the apocalyptic, the ironic to the philosophical, and the cosmic to the domestic-- often within the same poem. This is an energetic and entertaining new voice in Canadian poetry both insightful and playful by turns. At the heart of the book is an elegiac tone that points to a more hopeful future. The book ends with an award winning sequence of ghazals written about the death of a young sister that leaves the reader breathless.

Author's Biography

Sandra Ridley was co-winner of the bpNichol Chapbook Award for her chapbook Lift (JackPine Press) and was a finalist for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry in 2009. An earlier version of Fallout won the 2008 Alfred G. Bailey Prize. A past associate editor with Arc Magazine, and a facilitator of poetry workshops for the Tree Reading Series and the City of Ottawa, Ridley's work can also be found in such journals as The Antigonish Review, CV2, Fiddlehead, Grain, New Quarterly, Prairie Fire, RAMPIKE, and This Magazine, and as a chapbook titled Rest Cure published by Apt. 9 Press. Sandra Ridley grew up in Saskatchewan, and currently resides in Ottawa. This is her first full-length collection.

After the Words

by Jennifer Londry

Jennifer Londry's poems come at the reader like a brisk punch to the heart. The people who inhabit them are profane and tender, dazed and confused and short on options, yet they remain stubbornly vibrant. These damaged souls assert their humanness and connection.

Londry writes with vivid immediacy about the people and places around her, so that each poem moves richly and swiftly through memory and perception, through the daily difficulty of a mother's descent into Alzheimer's and the others who live in the same care home. Londry writes of life as only she can see it, our world seen through poetic eyes, unafraid to see the harsh realities and capable of sparkling revelations.

She has been busy down here, knee-deep in a poety's work, bringing our attention to glories and cruelties, through poetic stories only she can tell: how each hour dangled and flipped to its opposite / till the wolf slunk away.

Author's Biography

In a little room by a window, Jennifer Londry writes. She is the co-author of one previous collection of poetry, Life & Death in Cheap Motels, (2009, Hidden Brook Press), with R.D. Roy. The collection has been compared to a "gut-punch guided tour through the 3 a.m. gritty neighbourhoods of the soul." She has been published in a number of literary magazines and recently appeared at the Kingston Writers' Festivals, (2009). She lives in Kingston.

David Johnston, Canada's governor general-designate, is shown meeting the Queen alongside Prime Minister Stephen Harper during a dinner held in her honour in Toronto on Monday. (Prime Minister's Office)

CBC NEWS: July 8, 2010: David Johnston, announced as Canada's next governor general on Thursday, is pledging to be a "stalwart defender" of Canada's heritage, institutions and people.

After weeks of speculation, the Prime Minister's Office said the Canadian legal scholar and president of the University of Waterloo, Ont., has been approved by the Queen and will take over on Oct. 1 after Gov. Gen. Michaëlle Jean's term ends.

P.O.V.: Is David Johnston a good choice for governor general? Take our poll.

University of Waterloo president David Johnston has been chosen to be the next governor general of Canada. Johnston, known as a legal scholar, will take over from Michaëlle Jean, whose term is ending in September.

In a statement to reporters from the Senate foyer in Ottawa, Johnston called the appointment a "mark of confidence that touches me profoundly." He also noted his predecessors, from Samuel de Champlain to Jean, have set a "fine example" for him to follow.

"I've had the good fortune to witness Canadians' creativity and our ties to the world, as well as our diversity and our vitality," he said. "The opportunity to see these values at work across the country means a great deal to me."

In a statement, Prime Minister Stephen Harper hailed Johnston's selection, saying the 69-year-old Ontario scholar "represents the best of Canada.

"He represents hard work, dedication, public service and humility," Harper said. "I am confident he will continue to embody these traits in his new role as the Crown's representative in Canada."

Johnston also said he looked forward to meeting with members of the Canadian Forces.

Advised PM on Schreiber inquiry terms

Johnston, born in Sudbury, Ont., is perhaps best known for advising the federal Conservative government on what shape a public inquiry into the dealings between former prime minister Brian Mulroney and businessman Karlheinz Schreiber should take.

animated_crown.gif

The moncitizenship is the new Canadian governmental task. The diplomatic lines of Republics of Yemen and Poland are non grata with their masks.

Johnston has served on numerous provincial and federal task forces and committees. He is widely considered as an expert in constitutional law, which observers have said could serve him well in an age of fragile minority governments and potential constitutional crises.

Jean, appointed in 2005, generated considerable national attention and triggered a fierce debate over the governor general's role when she twice granted Harper's requests to prorogue Parliament.

The first time came in December 2008 when Harper's Conservative government was under threat of defeat in the House of Commons at the hands of a proposed coalition between the Liberals and NDP with the signed support of the Bloc Québécois.

The governor general is appointed by the Queen on the advice of the prime minister and acts as the Queen's representative in Canada and Canada's de facto head of state. The term is five years and can be extended to seven.

Johnston taught law at Queen's University in Kingston, Ont., and the University of Toronto after earning degrees at Queen's, Harvard University and Cambridge University.

He was also the principal and vice-chancellor of McGill University in Montreal, and dean of the faculty of law at the University of Western Ontario in London.

An author of several books, Johnston is also a companion of the Order of Canada.

Johnston shook hands with Queen Elizabeth on Monday in Toronto, but it was not a formal meeting. He is expected to travel to England to officially meet with the Queen this summer.

He and his wife, Sharon Johnston, have five daughters.

Jean, Governor General since Sept. 27, 2005, will serve as UNESCO's special envoy in Haiti after her term ends.

TORONTO - Cars were shaken from their parking spots, buildings cracked and residents ran through the streets Wednesday as a magnitude 5.0 earthquake left a small town in western Quebec in a state of emergency and much of central Canada wondering what in the world was going on.

The damage appeared to be concentrated on Gracefield, Que., a tiny municipality of just over 2,300 not far from the epicentre of the temblor, which was pinpointed about 60 kilometres north of Ottawa and about 18 kilometres under the surface of the earth.

When it struck at 1:41 p.m. ET, Gracefield's residents ran through the streets as the buildings around them creaked and cracked, said town concillor Michael Gainsford.

Town councillor Michael Gainsford told The Canadian Press that at least seven buildings are damaged — including the town church, a community centre, and the town's pharmacy, grocery store, and civic administration offices.

"The ladies were crying, they were panicking, they didn't know what to do," Gainsford said. "The vehicles (on the street) were actually shaken out of position."

There were no reports of injuries, he added. A local state of emergency was declared shortly after the quake, which Gainsford said lasted about a minute.

"In that minute, everyone ran for the street and everyone was terrified," he said. "It's something that I've never experienced before as a fireman for 25 years."

Damage appeared to be minimal elsewhere — a broken gas main on Parliament Hill, sewer and water main breakages in the Ontario city of North Bay, a four-hour drive north of Toronto — but the buzz from people unaccustomed to such tremors stretched across a huge swath of central Canada and the northeastern United States.

The Geological Survey of Canada described the event — a rare phenomenon so far east of the Rocky Mountains — as a "moderate" 5.0 quake. Residents across New York, Vermont, Michigan and Illinois also reported feeling the ground shake.

"You'd expect to see some minor damage only in the epicentral region," said Ivia Hayek, a seismic analyst with the GSC.

"You wouldn't expect to see anything really major, but how you feel it, how it affects things, depends on soil conditions and on the structure."

Within minutes of the quake, Twitter, Facebook and the rest of the Internet's usual hotspots were humming with reports from people in central Canada's largest cities, saying they felt the rumble in places like Windsor, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

Reports varied about how long the quake lasted; witnesses in the national capital region said the tremors shook downtown buildings, homes in west-end Ottawa and government offices across the Ottawa River in Gatineau, Que., for about 30 seconds, while in Toronto some said it was only five or 10 seconds.

Semitic illegal drug calls Khat spreads in North America and Europe

Nova Scotia Liberal MP Roger Cuzner, who was in his Parliament Hill office when the quake struck, was cleaning up some constituency business when "the coffee in my cup started slopping around."

"You could feel the impact," Cuzner marvelled.

In Parliament's halls of power, quizzical staffers poked their heads out of offices and stared around dumbfounded in the moments before Commons security ordered everyone out in what Cuzner described as a brisk and orderly evacuation.

Everyone filed down the stairs and out into the driveway, and after a few moments guards shepherded startled staffers and tongue-tied tourists back from the building to the front lawn, which was strewn with staging for next week's Canada Day festivities.

It was a frightening experience for anyone in the political district, where some were fearful about the structural integrity of the area's old historic buildings.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper was on his way to the airport and did not feel the earthquake, a spokesman said. Outside his office, a picture fell to the ground.

Mike Charlebois, who works in the parliamentary dining room, was on the sixth floor of the centrepiece building known as Parliament's Centre Block when the shaking started.

"We were scared because we thought the building was going to fall apart," Charlebois said.

"First thing we did was evacuate the building because we had no idea what was going on. The Parliament is very delicate; it could have been a bomb threat or anything so we had no idea what it could have been."

"It was pretty scary because you have no idea what can happen, what it was that made that kind of shakiness. We hear so much about terrorists, stuff like that, it's (in the back of) our mind."

Witnesses in downtown Toronto also described feeling a prolonged tremor that shook desks, rattled bookshelves and caused paintings on walls to shake.

Holly Rockbrune, 25, works for an insurance company. She was home for lunch when she began to notice something strange was happening.

"It was odd because I was in the kitchen making lunch and I could hear banging," Rockbrune said.

"I went into the living room and everything was rattling, but I didn't think much of it so I went back into the kitchen. It only lasted a few seconds."

A four-hour drive north, in the city of North Bay, Ont., Mayor Vic Fedeli was standing outside his office when he suddenly felt his legs wobble.

"I came back into my office and all my paintings are askew," Fedeli said. "You really didn’t hear anything, but the entire seven-storey building shook."

The city's switchboard "lit up like a Christmas tree, with some people reporting sewer and water breakages," he added.

Stephen Taylor, a political pundit in Ottawa, used his Twitter feed to describe what the tremors felt like.

"I was in an elevator when the earthquake hit," Taylor wrote. "Debris hitting the top of it, walls scraping ... fun stuff."

An analyst with the survey said it's typical for a quake of that magnitude to be felt more widely across the Eastern seaboard because of the geological conditions there, which include the massive underground rock shelf known as the Canadian Shield.

"The shield there, the structure of the crust is more rigid and so the waves carry better," he said.

It was one of the most significant quakes ever measured in the region, according to the organization.

The two largest quakes in western Quebec occurred in 1935 at magnitude 6.1 and in 1732 at a magnitude of 6.2, according to the agency.

It said earthquakes east of the Rocky Mountains, although less frequent than in the west, are typically felt over a much broader region.

The survey also said that east of the Rockies, an earthquake can be felt over an area as much as ten times larger than a similar magnitude earthquake on the west coast.

Hundreds of people were milling about on downtown Ottawa streets as the Parliament buildings emptied, although the Prime Minister's Office across the street at the Langevin Block was among the few that was not evacuated.

A sitting of the Senate was disturbed, as were preparations by the PMO for this week's G8 and G20 summits. PMO staff were forced out onto Wellington Street.

Conservative Senator Lowell Murray said the massive chandeliers of the upper chamber began swaying during a mundane debate on energy issues.

"Initially we thought it might have been an airplane crashing into the building," Murray said.

"But we were standing around wondering what was going on. And I quickly realized it was an earthquake. And then everybody started shouting out, out, out."

Samantha Lehman, 14, was in a downtown shopping mall when the tremors began, and the fear among the people there was palpable.

"They told us not to run but people were running out," Lehman said. She said she was "still kind of shaky, but I think we'll be ok."

The quake was greeted with excitement at the office of Laurent Godin, a geology professor at Queen's University, where he and his colleagues all gathered to exchange accounts of an event they study constantly but rarely get to witness in person.

The epicentre of the quake is located on an active fault known as the West Quebec Seismic Zone, a region Godin describes as one of the more quake-prone regions in the country.

While the activity in the area is not likely to equal quakes registered along more volatile fault zones in British Columbia, Godin said more minor temblors occur often.

"If you look at a map of historical seismicity in the area it’s riddled with little red dots, but the magnitudes of those earthquakes are so low that people haven’t felt them," he said.

"Because it happened in rocks that we call the Canadian Shield ... these rocks tend to transmit seismic waves very efficiently. So it's understandable and normal that it can propogate quite a ways."

I am glad to send to your Honourable Minister and Ambasador this letter in reference to the previous 17 political and fictional articles published in Al-Mistakable Weekly Newspaper. These articles were published in issues from Montreal, Canada in Volumes Nos. (525, 529,531,532-541,545,548 and 549), 2002. The documents, which are related to the historical period of the Yemenite Civil War of 1994, and other several sources of information regarding humanitarian activities to stop the war were all in attempts to restore peace in that region.

In addition to those documents, a prophecy was told regarding terrorism and crimes committed internationally, which were documented in the fingerprints and footsteps (i.e., the fingerprints and footsteps are used to symbolize the ability to forecast terrorism and crimes) of Sir Al-Mansouri M.T.; the Canadian Prophet and descendent of the Al-Mansouri and Al-Sourorri tribes. These tribes are one of the aboriginal groups recently discovered to have settled in the Arabian desert city called Al-Jaharah, which is one of the cities of the State of Kuwait. Please accept my best regards and wishes.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely Yours,

Sir prophet Al-Mansouri M.T., Ph.D.

Money tempts those who have red eyes!
My home, how sad and miserable are your sons, who believe that everything can be bought by money, ,and how poor are those, who sell themselves, their souls, self-conscience and every thing they own for cheap temptations. How many of your children are multicolour, who are nationalistic in the morning, socialistic at noon, baathist in the afternoon.
islamists at the evening and who belong to the congress party at the night.
How sad are your coward sons, who they see the wronghood and falsehood
and they deal with them with silence.
I warn those, who try to sell the nation's conscience by money and privileges
or by seeking after the weak points of humans or by putting obstacles on the
honest people's path.
I preach the blue snakes, colourful chameleons, toxic and vicious cobras and malicious scorpions that the dawn soon is coming and the sun of freedom will appear, rise and shine.

Hello Hitler.

Picture more, and give me art, Mercedes Benz, and the thought of German liberal philosophers.
Hello my dear father Hitler.

Sketch more and more, because your art galleries are eternal icons that spread aroma of musk and ambergris across the time.

They contain the rainbow’s colours, which broaden from the surface of the land to the water and into the glowing moon.

They have the past, present and the future times.

They either restrain the dry fields or green townships.

They contain the beauty of grape’s fields, when the sun’s ray was reflecting and refracting.

They contain a pasture, and red and black dogs.
Hello Hitler.

You are not my real father, the frontrunner.

They have accused me of belonging to you and said that“ I was the son of you, the son of Hitler, the leader of Nazis,
the counsellor of Germany,
the Fuehrer,
and the Leader of the Alliance axis”.

However, I neither look like you nor know painting on the leaves of rubus or on the papers of the book.

They said that “My name was written on the leaves of olives trees in the country of figs and thyme.”

My father, I admire the art and I esteem it by my blood.
I do not look like you, but I have a strong sense that is similar to the sense of the Dusty German-Shepherd Dog.

I do not look like you, but I look like Mr. Franz Beckenbauer.

I was born on the tenth of June, not on September the eleventh.
My blood is red as yours, and my colour is mixed of the dark- wheatish and the yellowish.
My dear father, Hitler.

I am good in thinking and writing on planks, plates, nails and propulsions.

Yet, I neither know portraying nor writing on the yellowish materials.

I also have not any clue or any knowledge of mixing colours; moreover, I neither differentiate among the oil, canvas, water paints nor yellow , blue and green colours.

Yet, I am a professional person in riding a dusty horse.

Moreover, I am interesting in contemplation on the universe at the noon, night and daybreak times.

I am an innocent child, who loves dolls, toys, sweets, chocolates and sugars.
I am the dew that evaporates from each dry and green grass every morning.

I am the butterfly and the sea’s banners.

I am the thread of wool and silk on the coats of Katrina, Eve and Adam, the blonde.

Prior to the Suicide

Sincerity and loyalty was like a caution.

The exchanged love was like a fate.

Desires and self-esteem was in the vein of stone.

Adoration and marriage of Eva the daughter of Mr. Braun, the encircling.

The daughter of Braun said about Hitler that “ What a Fuehrer he was! His love like water, air, spirit’s drinks and sugar.

His lips were sharps that shatter the heart, chest and the source”. His smells was better than the smells of musk and ambergris.

In his opinion, love was like a fish, that swimming in water, another is frying in the oven, and other hanging on the nails.

She concluded her speech that she was Abla and he was Antarah”.

Hello Hitler.

Are you my naughty father?

Is your knife sharp like a sword or like a saw?

Are you the only the heroic person?
They have killed and burned their people and followers by their: hands, blind thoughts, unknown hands, the citizens, who used the masks and by people who wore the uniform of the soldiers.

Hitler.

Are you the responsible of killing and displacing the slaves and the gypsies?

Are you the person who devastates the universe and drives the mad cows?

Are you the killer of the martyrs of October the fifteenth and who hides the corpse of Jesus of Nazareth, the sincere and saviour?

Are you the person who sinks or plunges, hijacks ships, caravans and the tourists on the land and the sea?

Hurricane is coming either in the noon time or at declining day.

The voice of truth is coming too.

The voice of God is the strongest and the most capable ones.

The salvation of the spirit was such as the twinkling of an eye.

Hitler committed suicide and the daughter of the Braun, the blond committed it too.
They examined his corpse, acted as autopsies and anatomist in his body.

Then, they embalmed his corpse and put it in the grave.
The tomb was a narrow and the wooden box was more dangerous when, Hitler’s face was shown with his famous short and central moustache.

Then the news was spread whereas some people scoffed him, other praised him by poetry or prose and another revolutionized or became enormous ones.

However, they were unable to decipher the mystery of Hitler or the enigma of his younger son the leader and the Expected Prophet.

They do not make any work of art, but they left only bad and thorny conflicts.
Clans of blond, black and blind occupied of Palestine in one hand by Antrah’s tribes; on the other hand, Saadah is wounded as well as Aden on the Red Sea in the Indian Ocean.
Dead and wounded people , ambassadors and security men are falling and offering themselves for red tyrant or for these, who monopolize, commercialize or loot the oil and the sugar.
They killed the apostles like Jesus, Hamdi, Abdel Fattah and the Norwegian student Martine Vik Magnussen, the daughter of Abdul the Yellowish, because she rejected to drink their dark coffee with sugar.

They killed her hanging out not as they usually kill by a poison, a machete or by a dagger.
His Excellency Hitler.

The ax has fallen from the grip of my aunt Shuhd Al-Mansouri, the farmer when she was walking in the Alobar’s Valley.

Hence, the thieves lurk the homeland in every mountain, strait and route.
Portrait more oh you Hitler; the leader.
Because you work of art is a remedy for infected people with swine and cow influenza.

They are a medicine for Obama, Clinton and the Canadian, Stephen Harper.
After the death of the Fuhrer, was born Moshe Dayan, who are more aggressive and more criminal than Hitler.

His crimes are uncontrollable and exonerated in Qana, Palestine and Egypt.
I will not tell you goodbye, but picture more and adore more.

Sculpture on the body of Eva, the daughter of Mr. Braun and colour it with white, red and green in order to become purer and more mature and fertile.
Illustrate more and more.
Depict a child who was assassinated or kidnapped for the purpose of taking his organs for trade near the temples of the Fuhrer, and in Cowboys’ Dim and Red Holy place in :
Brazil, New York, Rome, Frankfurt and Tel al-Zaatar.
Picture a martyr and an orphan child in Saadah, Rwanda, Sudan, Palestine and Weimar, because your art Galleries are like the rain for earth,
a nutrition, water and data for fasting people.
Furthermore, they are slogans for rebels in their battles against injustice, oppression and poverty.
Picture more and more.
Ladies and gentlemen please think more about it:
The child was willing to acquire the game, doll, a Mercedes car and a red dog.
Another baby wants to eat cheese and drink goat’s and cow’s milks.

She replied to him saying “Scream more, raise your voice much, praise, applause and maximize your voice.”

At that time she repeated to him saying “Raise your voice more before they come first to seize the wealth and arrogance on mankind; the Polish people, Jehovah's Witnesses, Russians, Gypsies and the rest of the people classified by your grandfather as a nations of gentile.

Tell them that your father did not die normally by the heart attack, yet Hitler was the murder”.

Take money in hard currency, including the Dutch Mark, Franc, Euro and Dollar.
Finally, she advised him neither to listen nor to be affected by the children of Naji Al-Ali’s and Abu Ammar nor to have a friendship with children of Joseph, the carpenter.”

The Fuhrer’s Son Judgments

They said to him rocks.

He responded to them not only rocks but also trees.

They said to him the Patient.

He replied to them and also the Cement.

They said to him an eagle.

He told them a falcon.

They asked him if the crime was at the noontime.

He answered them by saying that “It’s plan started in advance and before the dawn, and the implementation took place in declining day”.

It is one of religious chauvinisms occupation as well as the nationalities perfidy parties.
After that, they questioned him if the crime happened in pin’s forest and during the rain.
He replied to them informatively, and added and it occurred next to every olive’s, dates and buckthorn trees, and over the rain.
They asked him about the veil.
He answered them yes, and the rights of the donkey.
They said to him flowers and fruits.
People are waiting and they do not harvest anything except a devastation and destruction.
They said to him the Forgiving.
He said to them the Most Lofty and Irresistible.
They told him Qatar.
He answered to them by saying “One foot was over there another one in Algeria, and other ones in Egypt and Dhofar”.
Also he was asked if the wound was deep.
He said to them saying “Yes and it was in the chest, head and back”.
They said to him, whether the judge was an ox or a donkey.

He answered them two oxen their names are Tany and Mohair, a pig, a dragon and the donkey and its son.
Afterward, they asked him about the peace.

He said to them saying “A day of will is better than a thousand of summits and a million of Conferences”.
They asked him where the guards, soldiers and the armies where, when the children, women and the seniors were killed.

He said to them they were and unmoving of night watching, and in immorality and prostitutions.

Their relationships with liberal and honest people as well as with the Lord, the Creator, the Rightful and the Fashioner of Forms in difficulty.

The leaders became seniors and they can not distinguish between the transit pass and the corridor, and the citizens are in poverty, monotony and tedium.
They asked him saying “Oh; you, the son of Hitler who do you think you are?”

He answered them “He is the Warner and Bringer of good news from the Lord, the Sublimely exalted and the Almighty and he added saying that he is the sea”.
They told him “A fire on the wall.”

He said to them saying “It was the December’s spark during the days of the Nazareth sons, and the days of victory.”
They said to him “The son belongs to his mother family, the family of pleasant and security.”

He replied to them informatively, and added and also to his father's family, the Victorians.
There is no difference among people except those people who possess skills and worthy with the science and seer.

He attached to his answer, that the son was produced from his father and his mother’s seeds, the spirit of the God and the knowledge of the Scottish gracious scientist Mr. Lewis.

The Hitler’s son was born ten years before the birth of her Excellency Sheikha Dolly, the Sheikha’s of goats and cattle, and he was produced by the same methods of Dolly and other domestic cloned animals by the process of magnetizing and dragging.”
They asked him if his birth was in the sunset time.
He whispered to them at the dawn time during the rooster’s cock, which means the origin of danger on tyrants of the times until everlasting.

They said that in his face is a light.

He answered them informatively with yes, and added and in his heart a pleasure and a joy.
Then, they said that he lived in Egypt, the country of science and light and he is a supporter to the Palestine’s issue and proud of the victory of October and the Bar Lev Line.

He answered them by saying “Neither he committed the crimes of the School of the Sea Cows nor killed people by guns, cranes, and soldiers, who do not believe in mankind.”
They asked him also that if he believed in the Holocaust and the fusion.

He replied to them “They were conspiracies, and their commitment are subjects of understanding.

He added to his answer that he neither killed nor crucified Him, however; they were in confusion and thought that he appeared so unto them like Hitler and the son of Hitler.”

The truth that they were done by the devil, and Moshe Dayn, the blind, who lead his flock to Palestine despite the fact that it did not know any thing except the illusionary danger of the ancestors of the followers of the Messiah, the Sir Christopher, the Admiral of the seas and oceans.

Finally he added to his respond saying “ The first Holocaust was in Berlin, and the others were in Deir Yassin, Gaza after they changed their direction from Madagascar. Because of their fear of lemurs and they preferred crying on the wall, digging tunnels and storing the weapons.” Really, it is the peril.
Then, they asked him “What is it about Sarah and Hagar?”
He replied to them saying creatively“ They were in the desert during the rains and the storms.”
Additionally, they asked him about the meaning of life.

He responded to them by saying t “ It is an ebb tide, which contains tragedies; ornaments, treasures and abundances, and the evil on it will amputate.”
Into the bargain, they asked him about the Banu Qurayza , Qaynuga and also about the Banu Al-Nadir.

He answered them “ Neither they belong nor had ties with Nazareth, Akkah, Jahava, Jerusalem and the short and narrow river of Jordan.

However; they belong to the desert of the Empty Quarter, the provinces of Najran, Jizan and Asir.”

As well as, they asked him about Gaza and Jericho and the province of the Rocket.

He responded to them by saying “ The crimes for some are narratives, for another people they are art and photography, then; a distortion and recycling. Consequently, the Palestinians are killed, surrounded and incarcerated.”

The cynics and crimes of the evil are not for the God an easy obsession.

He, who move his machines and recycling them.

All things that occur in the universe are fascinating. Both major and minor prophets preached the holocaust of Hitler, and his name also exist in the Books of Psalms and Esther.
It was a barricade, a fusion, an evil, and an ins and outs from the mouth and nose.
The media in every place that you go by became a resource of lie, and the most dangerous thing than the serious jeopardy since the time of Abdul Kidder, Abdul Halim, Najeeb, Sultan, Hail, and Jeha and his both small and big donkeys until the days of returning and self-determination.
These, who teach me the madness, fantasy, imagination and writing poetry and prose and they are:

my aunts Shuhd and Muniara,
my uncle Abdu-Jabbar, the little and the short,
my mother Nooria Mc Owia’s ,
my aunt Ambrod,
my uncle Amin, the handsome man,
my father Abdulhamid,
my grandmother Khawzaran and their neighbours in Al-Ofiaf and Al- Mihdar and they are the following:
Nema the daughter of Ahmed Ghanem the Raven,
Ahmed Al-Zaift, and his brother, Abdullah Kurood,
Ambah the Raven,
Al-Sharama,
Mohamed Ahmed, the miller,
Darhem Al-Majeedy,
Abdulnassir, the son of Sheikh,
The Mermaid of the sea,
Donald S. Throop, the king the forest with its rodents, deer and donkeys .
These, who perfect and master my skills after the exodus, the ebbs of the sea and the land during the night and the days of Eid-Ul-Ghadeer and they are the follow:
the ancestors of Pharos, Ramesses the everlasting and the respectful character, and the ancestors of Adam Miskiewicz, Mary Skladowska-Currie,
the Pope,
Christopher Columbus ,
William Shakespeare,
Sir Alfred Yules Ayer , and
Eric Honker, the great.
I have already learnt the myths of first nation not only in Mercury, Mars and Saturn, but also in the Temples of Bihar and Rabbis, Centres of Crowds and Guards, Museums and Victories and Laboratories of Perfume, Pottery, Alcohol and Tin in Warsaw, Cairo, Ottawa, Berlin, Brussels, Rotterdam, Italy, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria and in each country that possesses a wilderness or a heavy rain.

But also at Anglo-Saxons, who identify the code of the falcon, lion, tiger and the secret of mankind and the universe.

Moreover, in Doha, the beautiful and the capital city of Qatar, where I put my feet near the sea, the desert and in the city of the great Al-Khor.
At the end, Oh God forgive Hitler and his the biggest and the smallest sons, if You have already forgiven Yadas Iscariot, the greatest treasonable apostle, and the biggest evil, because of his betraying Jesus, the Victorian of Palestine.

They said this is not for the God an easy thing. Because of the existence of the Lord in tunnels, crossing borders, fences and corridors.

Picture more and more, because the art and writing are incarnations for destiny and fate, and neither of them have any threat, and who prohibited them is a disbeliever, even if he is the owner of Holy See, or the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, or who has a strong army like the rock.

Just a little word to announce that on June 6, 2010 all things went well. I started the Peace event with St. Francis of Asissi’s prayer, and then did along with Eric a bilingual speech, which we shared with the little audience.

I gave the French version to Eric, and I did spontaneously the English version. During the speech which I composed through the Heaven inspiration and which we shared it with many people in Canada and abroad. J. of N. reminded people the main and essential AFM of Peace goal is to let people know, if we who have the least talents were able to make it and accomplish this little Peace mission; then, everyone on earth is able too; even, beyond our ability and limited talents.

After the speech, we have introduced the film: Jeannette de Nazareth. Just before this, J. of N. spoke out about the AFM of Peace mission: to reclaim God’s place #1, and place money and materialism at the end of the list and to be in service to always and at all time be used to lift up God and humanity. As, unfortunately, due to fear, intimidation, and silence of many, money is taking more importance and is taking priority over God and humanity.

What is happening is unethical, immoral, and totally wrong! Just before rolling the film, for a warm up, J. of N. decided to dance a Spanish/Andalos beautiful melody with a wrapped up banded foot.

Jeannette of Nazareth chose this date (June 6, 2010) in memory to the six-day war which broke up between Israel and the surrounded Arab countries on June 5th 1967 which lasted for six hell long days and ended on June 10 of the same year. (J. of N. was then in Nazareth. She was very terrified and traumatized by witnessing this evil war seeing two races coming from several countries; yet, coming from same Father (Abraham, please ask for a Tape of one hour interview with J. of N. at O. U. Radio Station conducted in 2002.

This war which took the lives of Jewish and Arab innocent victims in a bloodshed battle all for one goal: materialism and landmark. This was the turning point in J. of N. life where she understood for the first time the full meaning of the evil war boosted by hatred one nation against another. From this point on, Jeannette refusing to take side, she decided in her heart to search for means of true Peace starting with prayers in defense to God and the life of humanity.

J. of N. witnessed a few days after her departure from the Holy land, another bloodshed war in the fall of 1973. All her feelings were repressed till the sad disastrous event of Sept. 11, 2001; when she woke up to herself, and decided never to stay quiet anymore, but to seek avenues in search for Love and Peace on earth. Right after this war, Jeannette escaped from Nazareth heading back to Jerusalem to seek security and Peace at Hospice St. Vincent de Paul ruled and managed by the Daughters of Charity/ les Filles de la Charité). During this evil war which started by several Arab countries, Israel due to its way advanced war equipments ‘snatched’ many kilometers of land form Jordan (Occupied territories & Gaza), Syria (Golan), Egypt (Sinai/Suez Canal), south of Lebanon (1). For, more information on this topic and sad historical war, you may do a research on the net.

The audience was a small number as usual; yet, they were all and everyone faithful people to this mission who I cherish everyone very much. They all belong to a non-privileged sector of the society as Jeannette and Eric are too.

Jesus was attracted also to such simple big hearted sweet people. For Jesus, greatness is never measured by money and wealth; but rather, by the amount of love one has in his/her heart. Over the nine years of commitment to AFM of Peace and its foundation by J. of N., I got very close to everyone of my audience. Every one of them is very special and as precious in my eyes as for Eric too.

Over the years, we became very good friends, sisters and brothers. There was time when we gave moral support even financial support to a few; while other time, when J. of N. was desperately broke, surprisingly, in their turn without any expectation on my part, they were there for me.

For, God provides and protects His beloved children day and night year after year everlastingly at all seasons. These beautiful individuals whose faith in God is sturdy and unshakable, I consider them Peace Makers/Ambassadors of Peace.

From the bottom of my heart, I say out loud today thank you to everyone who was there for me at time of difficulty to pull me up temporarily, inspired by heaven, from the misery. Glory to God in everything we do, and Peace be on earth as it is in Heaven to all who love Him! Amen!

May Joy and Peace Reign in the Heart

of all Humanity in its diversity now and forever!

P.S. Due to the aging and less energy and health problems, J. of N. Decided not to rent any hall anymore except for urgent matters once a year at the most. Nevertheless, she will do receptions and Peace events in her own residence instead as she did in the past too.

(1) The Six Day War broke out on June 5, 1967, following three weeks of tension which began on May 15, 1967 when it became known that Egypt had concentrated large-scale forces in the Sinai peninsula. Egypt's force buildup in the Sinai was accompanied by other serious steps: the United Nations Emergency Force stationed on the border between Egypt and Israel and Sharm el-Sheikh in 1957 and which had provided an actual separation between the countries was evacuated on May 19 upon the demands of the Egyptian president at the time, Gamal Abdel-Nasser; the Egyptian navy blocked the Straits of Tiran, located at the end of the Gulf of Eilat, on the night of May 22-23, 1967, preventing the passage of any Israeli vessels; and on May 30, 1967, Jordan joined the Egyptian-Syrian military alliance of 1966 and placed its army on both sides of the Jordan river under Egyptian command. Iraq followed suit. It agreed to send reinforcement and issued a warning order to two brigades: Contingents arrived from other Arab countries including Algeria and Kuwait. Israel was confronted by an Arab force of some 465,000 troops, over 2,880 tanks and 810 aircraft. (clipped partially from a website at random)

Then, I could not ratify, hence; I went to the river and on its bank I stood in contemplation about the universe. However; The Nile's Mermaid confused me and sent me into a coma on the banks of the river. She put me into the dilemma of poverty, and then she cut me into small pieces. She novelized for me the story of people overworked with an axe. That gave me a headache. She promised me a mythical journey on a bird covered with silk and braids. That made me dance with happiness and sing. The Mermaid then extracted my soul and put it back.

Oh Nile, I have friends and companions of poetry and science. Oh Nile, I am fond of your breeze and your surroundings. Even the birds become jealous and frighten me with their dances.

Oh Nile, with your water and purity will the soul and blood that shakes my feelings and being.

Oh Nile, in your shadows sleep thousands of tribes and from your fresh air, they smell the perfume and wear the silk and wool. Oh Nile, you are loyal, generous and good, which the poor look for to survive from the hunger and warm climate. Oh Nile, give us more from your blooming and braids.

How many times I complain when your abundance hurt me.
When you went beyond the seas and left me alone in the house.
